The invitation

Give yourself a week that asks nothing of you.

You hold space for everyone else.

A small group on Costa Rica's Pacific coast — private suites, ocean air, and an itinerary built around restoration rather than obligation. Mornings move slowly. Afternoons are yours.

The work we do together is about what you want life to look like on the other side of the operatory.

Day by day

Your week

An example agenda. We confirm the final schedule before you travel.

  1. Jan 31

    Arrive

San José. A boutique hotel, an easy dinner, and the first faces of the week. Nothing is asked of you.

  2. Feb 1

    Exhale

Private charter to Quepos. The pool, the ocean air, the wellness spaces. Sunset happy hour, welcome dinner, and a fire pit that runs late.

  3. Feb 2

    Reconnect

A morning sound bath and cacao ceremony. Brunch, then the beach and an afternoon that belongs to you. Lifestyle by Design workshop before dinner.

  4. Feb 3

    Explore

Side-by-side through the mountains — coffee farm and waterfalls. The spa in the afternoon.

  5. Feb 4

    Reimagine

A river hike while the light is still soft. The Restoring Center workshop. Yoga on the ocean deck as the sun goes.

  6. Feb 5

    Gather

The artisan market, and time with the makers. An optional Boruca mask ceremony for anyone who wants it. A farewell dinner to close the week.

  7. Feb 6

What you'll do

The experiences

Cacao + Sound Healing Ceremony

A heart-opening ritual drawn from Mesoamerican tradition, where ceremonial cacao has long been a plant ally for connection. Warm, locally sourced cacao and space to set intentions — then crystal singing bowls, gongs, and chimes carry the group into deep rest, sound moving through the body to support release and alignment.

Mountain Side-by-Side Adventure

Guided trails through the mountains above Dominical with sweeping views of the Southern Pacific. A stop at a Costa Rican coffee farm, then deeper in to hidden waterfalls and natural swimming holes.

Artisan Market + Beach Day

A slow coastal day. The Pacific in the morning, then an afternoon among local makers at the artisan market — time to wander, swim, and carry something home with a story attached to it.

Boruca Mask Ceremony

Optional, at additional cost

An afternoon with Boruca artisans, whose ancestors have carved these masks for generations as symbols of resistance and transformation. Shape and paint your own — a piece to carry home, and a question to sit with.

The work itself

The workshops

Two facilitated sessions, built for this room and no other.

Lifestyle by Design

Dentistry rewards precision, control, and endurance — the same instincts that make it hard to ever stop. This session turns them toward your own life. We map where your time, energy, and money actually go, name what you would keep and what you have outgrown, and draft a concrete twelve-month plan: the schedule you want, the role you want in your practice, and what you are building toward beyond it. You leave with something written down, not just felt.

Restoring Center

Burnout in dentistry is rarely one dramatic failure. It is the accumulation of small, invisible costs — the physical toll of the operatory, the emotional labour of anxious patients, the isolation of ownership. We name those costs plainly, then build a restoration practice around them: boundaries that survive a full schedule, recovery that fits a real week, and the difference between rest that restores and rest that only delays.
